Children's Parliament is a national educational program for promotion of democracy, which takes the form of debates and discussions on issues regarding children and youth. It is an original form to encourage children and adolescents to express their own views on issues in the democratic decision-making process.
They are held in classes, schools, communities, as well as on a regional and national level. The topics cover a wide range of different fields, they are changed every year and are chosen by children themselves. The project was firs carried out in 1990 and it has become an essential part of the communication between children, teachers and representatives of the state.
